One we know how important it is to take mental health seriously and that’s why we took action to raise awareness of this week among our team.
Mental health has of course been at the forefront of our minds over the past year due to the impact of the pandemic. Lockdowns and other difficult associated circumstances that people have been facing need to be recognised and that’s why we decided to get out and about.
The theme of this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week was nature, so we thought what better way to support this cause than be getting into the great outdoors. That’s why on Friday the 14th of May we decided to take our team out for a picnic lunch beside the ponds in Whiteley.
It was great to get outdoors and enjoy some relaxing time with the whole team; it gave us all a chance to check in with each other and talk about things other than work. Enjoying these moments away from the busyness of day-to-day life is an important part of retaining a healthy work life balance. The team felt recharged and more relaxed after some time surrounded by nature. To help others around the country, we also made a donation to the MHAW charity.
This event is really close to our hearts here, and so we’ll continue to focus on staff wellbeing throughout the year. You can take a look at our photos showing our staff and their families enjoying some well-deserved time out of the office.
